Electrical Stimulation

Stimulation can be used to decrease pain, edema, inflammation and spasm. Most people find it to be a pleasant relaxing experience and meditate while it treats!
Kinesio/Athletic Taping

We perform supportive athletic taping as well as performance enhancing Kinesio Taping. Proprioceptive taping is also quit beneficial and is referred to as SPRT taping.
Flexion/Distraction Tables

These tables release in a way that allows them to flex at the waist or to extend horizontally for spinal traction, or both flexion and distraction. Spinal traction mobilizes the lumbar spine, targeting disc disorders and degenerative changes that may be compressing the nerve, causing numbness or tingling in the extremities.
Ultrasound

Ultrasound is used to apply a deep-reaching heat that softens and breaks up old scar tissues.
Massage Therapy

Massage is an amazing way to take care of yourself, whether to relieve stress, reduce chronic or sub-acute pain, or simply to treat yourself to the good things in life.
Therapeutic Exercises

Dr. Raeburn’s extensive background and education in the management of sports injuries carries over into everyday practice. Here at Overlook Chiropractic we believe that the proper use of exercise and stretching is a vital part of any musculoskeletal treatment plan.Therapeutic exercise can be performed with foam rolls, Swiss balls, Therabands or often nothing else besides good old gravity.
Graston Technique

Stimulation can be used to decrease pain, edema, inflammation and spasm. Most people find it to be a pleasant relaxing experience and meditate while it treats!
Activator Techniques

This low-force approach is an alternative to the diversified adjustment and is preferred for several acute conditions and severe osteoporosis.
Drop piece tables use the momentum of a cock-up piece and allows for the patient’s own momentum to mobilize the joint and deliver the adjustment. This is a great middle of the road technique with regards to force and is great for patients who have difficult areas to adjust.
Combo Therapy

Electrical stimulation and ultrasound can be combined to allow for the dual benefit of softening a structure while stimulating it simultaneously. Combo therapy is highly effective in treating old scar tissue and restoring range of motion.
Chiropractic Adjustment

Dr. Raeburn is a proficient manual adjuster using what is known as a Diversified technique. This is the classic chiropractic adjustment where the doctor uses his hands to apply a specific force to a joint either in the spine or in the extremities in order to mobilize and stimulate the joint complex.
Inversion / Cervical Tracking

Here at the clinic we are equipped with an inversion table (shown) and a separate cervical traction unit. Traction involves applying a force, usually gravity, in order to stretch soft tissues and decompress the cervical and lumbar spine. By increasing the IVF (intravertebral foramen) or spaces between vertebra, the pressure on the nerve is relieved.
